Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading, or using Atlas ("Atlas," "we," "us," or "our") — including our mobile application and web platform (collectively, the "Service") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Atlas. These Terms apply whether or not you create an account, including your use of the public debt snowball calculator, the embeddable calculator widget, downloadable templates, and content pages.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your information up to date. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

Atlas offers paid subscriptions that unlock premium features. Subscriptions are billed through the app store where you purchased them (Apple App Store or Google Play) and are processed on our behalf by RevenueCat. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the Atlas app does not cancel your subscription.

4. Refunds & Money-Back Guarantee

Atlas Pro Lifetime includes a 90-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied within 90 days of purchase, you may request a refund through our refund portal at atlas-budget.com/support/refunds. The refund process depends on where you bought your subscription:

  • Apple App Store (iOS): Apple processes all refunds for iOS purchases. Submit your request at reportaproblem.apple.com using the same Apple ID you used to purchase. Apple typically issues a decision within 24–48 hours.
  • Google Play (Android): Eligible refunds within the 90-day window are processed automatically through our refund portal. Funds typically appear on your statement within 3–5 business days, and your Atlas Pro access is revoked at the time of refund.

Atlas Pro Monthly and Annual subscriptions include a free trial; you may cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Once charged, subscription refunds are handled per the store’s policy: Google Play offers a 48-hour automatic self-serve refund from your Play Store order history, and Apple reviews subscription refund requests at their discretion via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Promotional, complimentary, and closed-testing access is not eligible for a monetary refund because no payment was made.

Refund requests outside the 90-day window are reviewed case-by-case; contact support at atlas-budget.com/support.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you will not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Service
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or authentication mechanisms
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service's infrastructure
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission
  • Attempt to manipulate the AI Financial Coach into producing content outside its intended scope

6. Financial Disclaimer

Atlas is a personal finance tracking tool. Atlas is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, accountant, or tax professional, and nothing in the Service constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. AI-generated insights, debt payoff projections, and coaching responses are informational only and should not be relied upon as professional advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. See our AI Consent Policy and the in-app financial disclaimer for additional details.

7. Downloadable Templates

Atlas publishes downloadable spreadsheet templates (such as the debt snowball spreadsheet) free of charge for your personal use. Templates are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Any projections a template computes are estimates, not financial advice, and are subject to the same Financial Disclaimer above.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or engage in activity we reasonably believe to be harmful or unlawful. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including financial disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located within the United States, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app and update the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
